So last night I changed all three holes on the EVO softail 94 model & noticed the rear cyl base leak , so I text the guy I got it from he said the engine is all stock & she now has just shy of 65K so I think I'll do rings as well sense I have to pull the jugs , who makes the best gasket set for the EVO B engine , if that B matters, don't think it does just for top end gaskets

Cometic or Harley IMO...You'll want to get a top end kit with metal base gaskets, MLS head gasket and metal bottom rocker cover gasket...

    How bad is the leak??

    HD, cometic, both work well.

One of the great things on TC's is the
    elimination of that dang gasket.

BTW no B on Pre TC (2000) softails
it's the same evo as the baggers and dynas

:roflmao:When they made an engine that good, they only needed to make one;) No counter balancers until the Twinkie came out...

Since you're getting into it,might want to put new lifters in and maybe replace the plastic breather gear with a steel one(S&S)

When my bro in law & I went to change the oil it took three filter wrenches & about 30 min started with a end cap style wrench it just rounded the end of filter , then a strap style it just ripped a hole in it , then s wider strap wrench another hole then some channel lock pliers [IMG] way to tight

    yeah I've done that :gah:

Right after I went and got a buddy
who's filter came loose on a ride, and he dumped
oil all over the bike, road, ducks, small children
had to trailer his butt home.

In fact I've trailered that bike more miles than he rides it LOL

So I think I gave mine a little extra JIC turn... :roflmao:
