Hi.Just bought an 09 Road King. Had stage 1 done and put on Kerker P.A.T. slip ons. Also had the fishtail end caps installed. I had asked dealer for pipes that were going to be loud, and these are what he's been pushing at the dealership. Not impressed with the sound. Any feedback on these pipes would be appreciated. Maybe they will get louder as they get used or is there something I can do internally to make them a little louder. Thanx,

You could always get a fullsac true dual conversion kit, that is about 190 and they not only will be louder it will sound better, plus you will get rid of a little heat on the right side where the crossover pipe is, the downside is you will probably lose a little performance, but you still will be able to use your slip ons, here is a link Todd

    Hey Todd:

I have a cobra tuner on my bike right now and python mufflers. I noticed since doing mufflers and stage on filter that I seem to get more exhaust heat. It is almost to the point of removing all parts and putting stock parts back on. Can I install a fulsac and use my cobra tuner? Seems I heard that the tuner won't work correctly because the rear pipe is shorter and would cause the rear cylinder to run hotter. Hope you can help me out. Also how was the fulsac install?

klunker, dony know how restricting the baffles you have in your slip ons are, but go to this web site-- bigcitythunder.com-- and check to see if they have anything that will help you out. i know when i was doing the stage 1 kit it was hard to pick out the right exhaust for the sound i was looking for, but with the monster baffle i bought from them, imo my sound is great!! lets you take out your , put their product in and you will get a boost in hp also!! hope this helps, bill:D

I had the cobra tuner and fullsac for just a short time, it worked alright but I opted for the thundermax so I could or the thundermax could tune each cylinder individually, Im sure it will definetly help with your heat issue, the fullsac install was a piece of cake, especially since it is a pretty new bike it should come right apart, the toughest deal will be probably to get your oxygen sensors out, sometimes they can be a bitch but not always, just make sure you put on antisieze on them so they come out next time, let me know if you need any help, Todd

Got them on my Heritage with the standard baffle in them ,I took the fiberglass packing off the the baffles, that gave em more bark and not obnoxious loud.
