kicker cover wont go back on

    cant seem to get my kicker cover back on my 80Fx unless the gear is not installed, any ideas on this , doesnt want to fit flush, all I did is take it off to get a better seal on it cause it was leakin, any help would be appreciated

    Probably because the kicker gear is not aligning with the mainshaft gear. They have to mesh it will not go all the way on.
