We rode down the Columbia River Gorge scenic Rd that has several water falls including the famous Multnoma Falls and then up the Columbia River Gorge and crossed over the Bridge Of The Gods to WA. We went up Hwy 14 to the Kickitat River and up. Its a really nice area and at one location there were 18-25 head of Elk beside the road. The Bridge scares a lot of riders as its really high over the Columbia River and its a steel grated bridge.

Those Gorge winds can really blow from way before The Dalles clear past Troutdale. We call it the white knuckle ride when we get caught in those winds. If your getting a tail wind you can really get some great gas mileage. I crossed the Hood River Bridge (another steel grated one) one time with some other riders and the wind was probably blowing at 35-45. We were all over that sucker and decided to go back on HWY 14 to Vancouver to head back home.
Its really wild when crossing the Bridge of the Gods as the steel grating is real wide and you can really get a great view below you when you look down.
