Kreem blue shield

    I am re-chroming my pipes. Does anybody know if the Kreem blue shield works on the pipes.

    I tried it before and my pipes still turned color,it might of helped some...

    old school tip.........get a few cans of vht paint....get the good stuff, dont scrimp. take the pipe and set it on a piece of wood, header side up. take some rags and wrap around the pipe. spray the heck out of the inside of the pipe....make the paint run...the more the better. then let it set. some of todays high temp paint like to be heat set after they dry. if ya got an oven, follow the mfg directions. if not install the pipe and heat cycle it a few times. be sure to wipe all fingerprints and gunk off the pipe before firing it up the first time or what is there, will always be there............:)

    I used A good high temp BBQ black paint & did like chuck said work for years :cool:

    I used vht white paint in the pipes on the Sporty, gave a generous coating. That was 13 yrs ago and the front pipe is just this year starting to turn a little gold.
