Anybody got any experience with these? Good, bad, indifferent. I heard a set on another Ultra Limited 103 and they sounded pretty good. A bit throatier than the stock but seemed to breathe a lot freer without a bunch more noise.

buddy put a set on his Ultra, look and sound good, louder than the V&H ovals
over 3500 and they drone a bit making it harder to hear the radio...

But they are still good sounding made good power with them on true dual V&H headers.

Thanks for the come back hotroadking. I don't want a lot of extra noise but I realize I'll have to tolerate a lttle more to get the breathing right.

not really true.......super trapps are a very good flowing muffler, also tunable. they will flow and stay on the quiet side. if you do a bit of research on the trapps you will be pleasantly surprised at the torque increase and quietness of your bike......

The crushers are not unbearable, just a tad louder when cracked on than the VH Ovals

Not straight pipe no baffle loud, nice deep tone.

I like and have D&D slip ons, they have a very deep tone and bark when you jump on them and are super quiet while cruising at highway speeds...

Well depends on what bike you are on..

The 09 is simply TTS Mastertune, D&D slip ons and a Kuryakyn Air Filter kit, (just installed last night.) It will get a set of woods 6-6 or 408-44 cams in a week, got to order them...

RUns good the 09 is my tourer, I want it solid.. It will get 107 cly and pistons and head work, maybe or just 103 pistons.. Still working on that..

If you are talking the softail I dropped a 124 S&S in it ported heads, running the SNS 640's for now but thats going to be replaced by 9f or 9b woods.. And an Eseries tuneable 2-1...

You metioned the D&D slip on's so I was wondering what else was on the same bike for breather and fuel management.

The air filter is Kuryakyns new Street Sleeper air filter kit
it has a great fit and finish, instructions are pretty clear LOL
    IE english

and the filter will flow up to 130 HP more than I need for now..

Kryakyn - Harley - Street Sleeper

Fuel Management is TTS mastertune with autotune...

    Kryakyn

Both are sold by Kuryakyn, I talked with Mike Roland (head power guru at Kuryakyn) and the filter won me out...

The TTS I was already sold on, have used several to tune bikes..

IF you like these my buddy phil at California Phil's Concordia, KS (785) 243-9991 can fix you up with a good deal.

I favor the TTS as a software solution to tuning without any bolt on hardware..

I absolutely LOVE my Krusher True Duals on my 08 FLT!!!! Like hotroadking said of the D&D slip ons.....I can cruise thru town and down the Interstate quietly and then get out in the country and open her up they BARK sending chills up my spine! Love the Vance and Hines on the wife's Nightster and Dyna and on my Softail, but the touring pipes just sound like a tin can! Plus I get compliments all the time on the "cannons" sticking out from underneathe the saddlebags!

Which touring pipes are you speaking of that sound like a tin can? That doesn't sound good at all.

From what I have seen/heard and I'm not here to offend V and H fans, like I said I love 'em on my 3 other bikes, I don't know if they were the full system or just the slip ons, a lot of friends in the local HOG chapter run them, it just seems like the V and H exhaust for touring bikes have a "tinny, hollow" "bank, bank, bank" sound, not a nice low rumble/growl.

Now that again is just sound, I'm not a performance expert, I know V and H is known for their performance.....................I put the 103 big bore kit with the SE 255 cams in with a full dyno tune with the super tuner and did not get near the results on paper I was expecting..............the dealer pointed straight to the Krushers as the problem................maybe there is a trade off??? This is my first tour bike, and Krushers went on before I picked it up from the dealer, so this is the only thing I am familiar with. Maybe some other systems mentioned earlier gives you the best of both worlds???

I am not sure if it is the best out there but I am looking to order the V& H True duals with the Monster Oval slip ons. heard that set up on a bagger in sturgis last summer and I thought it had a good deep rumble sound.
