OK, so mowed the lawn, iced down the beer, got the meats and eats thawing for the grill, hosed off the pool deck, man getting ready for labor day is a lot of labor! You all have a good one tomorrow and get a ride in there somewhere, even a short one!

Just got back from a nice 100 mile ride! Great day here in Iowa!

While I'm here....whats the best thing to take along on long trips in case of a flat tire? Is "Fix-a Flat" ok to use on bikes? I thought I heard on time that you shouldnt use it?!

    Have a great holiday everyone!

if your running a tube, fix a flat MAY not help....i have used it in tube tire, a 21 inch front, and it aired up, but as soon as i stopped it started loosing air, now a tubless it would work. but as soon as your able to get a real repair, do it....fix a flat and plugs are for getting you off the highway. ya only got two tires on the ground, not 4........have fun and stay safe!!:)

Whitehorse Press has a fix-a-flat type product for motorcycle tires, with or without tubes. You can use part of the can and save the rest for later. It's expensive but seems to be a much better product.

I had a really nice ride yesterday, but my bike started acting up again so I guess I'll be draining the tank today and hoping it's a clogged fuel filter. Well the friends I was supposed to ride with today are going to come over here and we'll have lunch and hopefully my bike will behave around town. Then I'll drain the tank.

    Have fun at your party!

Was a nice day overall, but today I'm headin out on the bike for a while. (Of course after I clean up from the party, my yards a wreck!) Yesterday was her day.......today's mine! Have a good one guys.:D

No labor for me. Wife and I are gettin on the scooter and goin to my daughters. She called this morning and said for us to just show up and don't bring a thing, she has all the eats and drinks ready to go. Now ya just can't beat that kind of invitation.:D Both her and my son are the two best things that resulted from my 1st marriage.:) The next best thing was divorcing their mother. :roflmao:

Hope everyone out there has a fun and safe holiday.

Not sure where you're riding from Steve, but I'm from Sacramento. Sutter's Mill is in Coloma. I'd take US50 up to Placerville and then hwy 49 north to Coloma. Pretty cool riding along hwy 49 in Gold Country. You could take the Shingle Springs exit going up US50 to Placerville, then right on Green Valley road for a mile or so, then left on Lotus Rd to hwy 49. At that point, it's only a mile south (right) into Coloma and Sutter's Mill. I'm sure you're friend knows the best way to Georgetown from there, either Marshall Rd or Mt Murphy Rd are the quickest ways up. Either way, it's great riding. I'll be thinking about ya at the funeral. Georgetown's a cool little town.
