Since last night was the first night that I was able to make a HOG meeting and the day was a comfortable 63* out, I decided to grab the love of my life, put her on the back of Black Dangerous and go for a ride. Of course our ride was for a more formal purpose such as going to go meet other people that love Harley's, but still a ride all the same. We took off from our house at about 5:10 pm central time dressed in all of our Harley attire, including our helmets as were going to be entering cage infested roads. The ride was comfortable, the air had that smell that is present just before or just after a handsome rain comes yet not a cloud in the sky. As we were traveling east on MN Highway 7, we approached a stretch of this highway that I always enjoy riding, but for some reason I enjoyed this stretch even more than usual. Why is this? Could it be that the moons were starting to line up just right? The answer is, I just don't know, but I do know that it was a feeling that I want to have again.

We get to our destination which is the dealership Eden Prairie MN called Wild Prairie Harley Davidson. As we arrive, there are a lot of bikes there as well as people. I guess I would have to say that there were probably 60 bikes. Talk about a serene peaceful feeling when I pulled into the parking lot and heard the musical rumble of Harley's. My love and I dismounted and right away started to talk to people that we have never met before. WOW! That is what riding is all about. We pressed into the dealership, signed in, had some food and beverage, talked to others about riding, inquired about upcoming chapter events and much more.

Our meeting was in full swing and I remember thinking to myself that this is a place that I need to be, not the dealership really, but in like environment. Our meeting broke and Hot Rider and I mounted Black Dangerous to begin our journey home. Our journey home did not disappoint. The temperature stayed in the high 50's, no wind, very few bugs and the best part, very few cages. We journeyed home utilizing Highway 5 west to Highway 212 to Highway 22. it was a great day for riding, one of the best in awhile. I will be doing this again.

I'd ride to work except it's only a block away, but I had the beast over at the school shop today checking the tires. They were fine. We've been getting temps in the mid 80's last several days. A "cold" front is moving in with some rain and temps will drop to the 60's the rest of the week.
