My wife has a 2010 heritage we are thinking of putting a leather tour pak on a solo rack . If she uses the tour pak as a back rest will it give her a back rest or will it be to tall and hit her in the shoulder area. I have never seen this set up on a heritage before (by the way my wife is 5' 2" tall). Does any buddy out there have this set up???? Sure could use some in put

Depends on how it's set up. If to far back won't do any good. You may have to make alterations to it to get the perfect fit.

If you're buying from a dealer, he should let you carry it out to the bike to see how it'll work out.

    Welcome to BT.
Definitely test fit it. A 5'2" lady will probably get the pad into her shoulder blades. Just saying.

Just know leather gets messed up from Rain and water. And you can't put in it that you want to lock up. Chrome on this forum has one on her deluxe.

Got a buddy in Louisiana that put a fiberglass tourpac on his 07 heritage. He said he has a quick release system on it and a tourpack rack.
And its keyed so he can lock it up.

I've had lether saddle bags over the years. And I've had ABS saddlebags.
I will take the ABS any day over leather.

But then again the weight might be too much for her

I have the removable Tour Pak on my FLHX in the normal position and like it there. But needing a back rest prompted me to buy another tail trunk that fits nicely in between the Tour Pak and my back. It gives me lots of storage for long trips, and makes a great backrest.

Also, I can remove the Tour Pak and snap on a traditional passenger backrest, then use my tail trunk in front of pad for storage and my backrest for lighter weight and good back comfort at the same time. This trunk is from Saddlemen.
