I am looking for some suggestions on how one would install LED's onto a fresh fender?

Would you create and entire pocket for them or just stick them on?

    Thanks to all.

I would want them on the rear fender and to use them obviously for brake and running lights. have been thinking of a design for some sort of bezel.

By the Way, anyone know what the DOT uses as criteria for an approved brake light? Is it size or brightness?

when we did my son-in-laws victory we made a bracket up under the rear lip & use a string of leds , On the laws you'll have to check with your state laws to see

I did a search but didn't find anything specific to criteria. Thought that was Federal standard though?

There is a company that sells a replacement brake light for the standard Harley one, BrightAss Lights. They are made of LEDs and have at least 16 different programable settings. Brightness is adjustable and there are a couple of settings they say are NOT legal. These lights flash at different rates and times. They can be very bright. So, there is a law about brightness (and flashing). I have one and have it set to the highest. So far no "conversations" with the law.
