Lifter dactivators

    installing hydraulic to solid tappet deactivators and adjustable pushrods. Do I need to change cam also ?

    Depends on milage on cam. A low milage cam should be OK, But over about 10k miles better change the cams. You might want to look into tappet travel limiters. Install spacers in your pressent tappets. Bennifits of sollids,quiteness of hydraullics.

    Are you talking about travel limiters inside the hydro tappets?

    If the tappets are roller that you are taking out and new rollers
    you are putting in unless the cams have damage then you don't
    have to change cams.

    Yeah, a couple of days ago one of the guys posted a web site from J&P with video on changing cams.In it the tec showed these like washer thingies that go inside the lifters that cut down the self adjusting limits of the tappets. never saw them before. Just saying. Good stock lifters seem good to me. jmo.
