I'm considering purchasing a new Ultra Classic and want to install a performance kit. I presently have a '03 103 SE with a kit, and want to keep the same power and performance levels on the new bike. I have heard various things regarding the 103 vs the 110, but would like some input from the group as far as which engine can be modified most effectively. I enjoy the power and speed of the 103 that I have now and would not want to lose any of that. Any thoughts?

Where you are located. I would call this Indy shop. They are the best shop around. PERIOD
Nobody else is gonna do better work or git you more power.

I would talk with them and let them do a S&S 106
kit with the new S&S cams.
The kit will produce about 107 HP and around 123 TQ,
A lot of people come from across the United States for them to build their engines.
They have a full service shop and can do everything.
Call and talk to them on the phone, they can direct you to what you are lookin for. Promise........

    Normally I'd agree w 106 or 107

But he has 103 no reason to buy 3 cc bigger jugs. Just cam filter piped and tune. Easy

But there are some really good upgrades when buying the new bike, like the new frame and bigger tank for a couple.

The 107 is about the best all around kit out there. They will probaly bore his jugs.
The 107 Kit produces a lot more power and Tq than the 103 kit. They are gittin better fuel milage with it too.

And the S&S 570 easy start cams does well with the kit.

Yes it I'd but if you can get a good tq curve with just cams. It's a better $ option. Jmo

Don't think with just cams you can git in the 120's on tq.

Don't remember those numbers being his objective

It was how to improve the 103 he owns. Straight answer is cams pipes and fuel. Not everyone wants a hot rod and the bills that come with it.

    Jmo I wouldn't go to a 107 from 103.

Might as well man up and dropin a 120r for 140hp out of the boxbolt in bad boy. Same net money less work more power
