    AFNURSE,
Thanks for the response.I checked the Sony link but wasn't successful finding the answer.I do appreciate the advice,Thanks!
I think I need the info from Biketronics as their adapter is what enables the "auto-volume-control"(AVC) feature to exist.Other than this issue,my Sony stereo w/the Biketronics interface has been great. Thanks again,00 wildglide:cool:

I just installed the Biketronics kit with the Sony radio in my Electra Glide Classic. In setting it up I lost the AVC setting too. I found it in the instruction sheet and it took a little figuring to understand how to do it. Once I reread it , It was easy. I've tried to scan the instructions and will try to put them in this post. If this doesn't work I'll try another way.
Guess I'll have to send it as an attachment. Hope this works.

I don't know where the attachments go but it doesn't show in my post--- ???

Here is the AVC Profile Section in my instructions.

The AVC profile controls the relationship between radio volume and bike speed. Combinations of different model radios as well as bike model year and 'Pipe loudness" are all reasons for having a selectable AVC profile. There are 20 profiles including one that disables AVC altogether. Each profile has an associated serial # from 0-20.where 0 represents off, (1) is the most aggressive and (20) is the least aggressive. AVC selection is accomplished with the left hand radio button (lm). Enter AVC selection mode by depressing middle radio button (lm) two (2) seconds. Once you letup on the button, you have (4) seconds to "bump" the same button up. Each bump up extends the next index starting from one.( Note that each bump extends time for AVC selection by another 4 seconds. ) For example, suppose you want to select profile #2 ( this is the default on most units ) First depress the left middle button for 2 seconds. Upon release, bump the same button up twice and release. Wait 4 seconds for Retro Radio to exit AVC selection mode.
I wrote this from the instruction sheet as I couldn't find a program to scan and insert it in the post. The middle (or left-(lm) ) button on my bike is the volume control. I found that depressing the button for about 10 seconds then turning the ignition off, then back on, turned the AVC off and then you can reset your AVC the way you want it. The #2 setting works OK for me. Hope you can make sense of this. Really easy and quick once you understand the process.
