I have an 07 flstn deluxe. Has a wobble at low speed...20 to 45 mph. Tire pressure is good in front and rear. The only way that I can kee it frrom the wobble is to stay on the throttle. Any help is greatly apreciated.

Did you have or do ANY work on the bike recently? sounds like something loose or about to fall off.

Get it checked by a good shop before you get hurt.

Never heard of a low speed wobble before. Something must be really loose somewhere. Steering head, loose fork bolts at the trees, spokes, wheel alignment, check fork oil - could be low or completely dry. Check for loose rear shock mounting bolts, too.

Man, I'd be tightening up everything in sight! Is your bike a soft tail? Could be worn out at the pivot point . . .

I will try that as soon as I get the front end back together. Had to take alot of stuff off to check the trees, forks and generally tighten everything up. Thanks

It is a 07 FLSTN. I bought it wrecked and have rebuilt it. All of the damage was only cosmetic except for the highway bars and headers which were bent.

AHA! Check the frame welds right where the Engine guard is bolted at the top. Check em really close. Saw it once at a dealership, they actually replaced the frame. They said their book called for replacement of frame for any collision damage in that area. Of course insurance co. paying for it.

It's been in a wreck - man, your frame could be compromised just about anywhere. Cracked welds, bent frame, etc.

Look over everything very carefully . . .

The hub in the rear wheel was cracked in the middle. The spokes were all tight but the hub was cracked. Fixed the problem. Rode it today and had no problems. I also had the frrame checked at a bike shop here in town. They said it was good as far as the welds. Thanks for the help. Got any idea if a 07 FLSTN can have a kick start put on it?

Good thing you found it.... Baker Drivetrain has a kicker for '07's...

    • The kicker arm will not clear the stock right side passenger floor board on FLT/FLH™ models. Installation of foot pegs or smaller footboards are required.
    • Twin Cam models require installation of a cam-based ignition. See BAKER 2008-2009 Supplement for ignition alternatives or consult a BAKER sales tech....(Evo style ignition system)

That looks like a lot of trouble and expense to switch to a kicker for that bike. I'd stick with the electric start . . .

Sure does, not worth the money or effort IMO...custom pipes, eliminate the crank sensor by going back to an Evo style ignition...just off the top:witsend:
