OK, I purchased a used '05 15th Anniversary Fatboy with the factory 95 cu in twin cam. It supposedly came stock with the Stage 1 air filter. The previous owner installed Screaming Eagle II Slip-on shot gun mufflers. The bike runs well but I am concerned that the mapping is un-changed from stock. Does the mapping have to be done for the mufflers since it was factory tuned for the Stage I air filter? What do you all think or know? Thanks

i think the pipes will be ok , it's the air cleaner when changed need to be mapped ,If you just bought it from a dealer have them double check it , even used if they sold you with this set up they should have double checked the mapping

Yes Cowboy, the FLSTFI is the Fuel Injected Model, sorry I didn't mention it. Currently it has no Tuner. Previous owner has a Vance & Hines Fuelpak but the bike had a bad habit of stalling just off idle in gear especially in intersections! V&H did a lot of guessing for the mapping since they don't have any experience with the Screaming Eagle slip-ons. Non of their guesses worked. The bike runs better with out the fuelpak. I heard from others that the mapping needs to be for the airfilter not for the exhaust. I don't know how accurate that is though. Dyno and Power Commander would be great except for the unemployed status I'm in right now. Thanks for any tips!

Pretty soon you'll get the CB Thundermax speach, so when it hits be sure you have sat down, have a beer and a cigar, it's kinda like the beating ya take when you enter a club or a frat, painful but required here LOL

Give Jamie at Fuel Moto USA a call, all you need is a newer pc5 powercommander and he has hundreds of maps for HD and other bikes in inventory which they create on a dyno at their facility.

(The key phrase there is "dyno tuned')

Buy a powercommander, tell him what you have an he'll ship you a PC already dyno tuned and probably spot on for your bike, With a filter and pipes you really need a tuning device, the bikes are very lean (EPA) from the factory and you just added more air and fuel.

JMO V&H powerpaks are very limited and I've not heard a lot of people
say they worked great, some do, but they are very very limited in adjustment

The powercommander you get can do this level, and if you get the bug for a set of cams, pistons, head work etc it can be remapped...
