Heard this last night on the news

Girls Softball team at a rural school here in Oregon used an AR-15 rifle as a raffle to raise funds for all there gear and to help fix the school field. School didn't have the funds. They raised a lot of money with it. It made the local news here last night and one family pulled their daughter from the team over it but several other families joined in and their daughters joined the team. The winner had to go through the Oregon back ground check and he said he was going to use it on the varmints in the area. Guy said he always wanted one but couldn't afford one outright but decided to buy 3 ten dollar tickets.
This was in the same town where their Police Chief was killed by a mental guy about 3 years ago.

Great idea and good for those girls and the majority of the parents to stand behind them. Shows another way guns can do good safely.
