I was at a local, low key event introducing Maya Selva Cigars, which have previously been available only in Europe. Madame Maya Selva herself was there, which was surprising as it was such a small but totally NOT exclusive event at the Reno Tinderbox store. Awesome cigars, a little more pricey than standard smokes, but really worth it. I appreciated that she has crafted very different flavor and strength (medium to kick-tail full) profiles within one brand, though none are of the wimpy Dunhill-type variety. If you like great smokes and can find a Maya Selva or 3, I recommend 'em. The lady, herself, is impressive, at least as far as I could tell from the few hours I was in her company (with about 20 others, too, so no snarkyness, please!;). I wish her and her team great success.

The "Flor de Selva - Colección Maduro" line was voted Cigar of the Year, and is worth the praise. One of the best I've had. Just make sure you have time to smoke, as these are long burners - lasted at least 2 1/4 hours last night watching a ballgame.
