Maybe it's time for an alarm?

    Hi everybody
I've just joined an was hoping to get some opinions on low budget alarms.
I am currently on my third bike in 2 years (one stolen an recovered 4 times and one wrote off thanks to a lovely vw passat)
I have seen a couple of affordable alarms from demon tweeks but was hoping somebody has had any experience with said alarms.
    Thank you all

I am currently using a Oxford chain and lock and just the steering lock... I've always seen parking in well lighted areas as advertising the bike to thief's

Haha yeah we live in Liverpool. A relocation would be the best thing to do ... or maybe bring the bike inside under the stairs

sounds like you have to leave the bike outside, so it's a target
get a good cover for it, so at least at night to passers by it's a black
covered item, don't get one that says Harley Davidson or MOTORCYCLE UNDER HERE!

BTW what kind of bike, check with local auto and motorcycle shops, over here we have lo-jack, someone steals it, the GPS internal transmitter goes off, cops can track it by GPS.

A loud siren is good, as well as a pager so you know someones messing with the bike. Flashing lights don't do much,

I'm sure you don't know if they are carrying it to a van or pushing it and riding off, so you could put in a remote ignition switch/button that only you know about, so at least they couldn't start it.

My guess is it's a crotch rocket and they are stealing it for the parts or to race it on the street, if they loose the bike in a match who cares it's stolen anyway...
