It seems that EVERYThing has blue tooth now. Any one seen a small motorcycle CB with Blue Tooth.
Back in 2009, there were some reg. size cb's with BTooth.
Seems like a CB with BTooth would be ideal for use with motorcycle since most of us have some type of helmet BT capabilities. Phone, radio MP Players, everything. I have searched Internet without finding anything except the $1000 J M deal.

Is there a way to add blue tooth capability to something like this Midland CB?
    Anyone got info?

I don't know of any, you'd think HD would put
BT into the Harmon head unit, eliminate the wires to the dash for headsets and microphones too... Allow GPS to comm with the head and speak directions.

I thought that riding was supposed to help you get away from all the day to day crap we live in. All blue tooth, stereos, cb's, cell phones. Why bring it along with you?

    BECAUSE,
it is fun. Some like to hunt alone, some ride alone, and some like to chat as the ride. Also we can warn others of some idiot who is driving crazy, or the deer we just spotted along the highway.

They are nice to have, and you can turn it off, but you can not turn it on, if you don't have one.

That is one riders opinion, for what it is worth.

Wishing all a very good new year. Most of us would like to see that.

    Cowboy, you are right.
J&M does but you pay for their special modifications to make it happen.

No others out there and I have looked. BTooth cb's will be coming.

It is a great idea for those who like to stay in touch when we want too. The power down button is there for those times when we are just riding.
Quite is good. Being able to communicate is good.

Riding is just plain good however you do it.
    Hurry summer.:gah:

Ridin is about what you want and what you want to do.
If its talkin on the CB to yer buddies, that's yer Ride.

If its riding by yerself, its what you deceided.
If its riding with yer girlfriend of OL, its yer ride.

Riding is about what you want it to be.

Why should we have anybody settin the standard for what we should or shouldn't do as norm when we ride.

If you want to use a GPS system that should be yer choice.
If you want to git lost. Point yer bike in a direction and go.
The GPS will just help you return faster and easier plus show you gas and eating places a lot easier.
And you've always got the Go Home button.

Make yer ride yer own. Screw what everybody else says its suppose to be.

If they want to stick things in their tourpac, that's them and their ride.

A built in CB is OK and sometimes a necessary tool when on a large group ride. However I have seen to many stupid riders screwing around with their GPS and crossing the lane, crossing over the center line or almost going off the road because they are not paying attention to where the hell their going. A CB you can trip the talk switch and keep your eyes one the road and both hands on the bars. Not with a GPS if your trying to screw with it when riding to get new directions. Personally I think if yea want a GPS don't fuss with it while your riding. But everyone I know that I ride with that has one on their bike messes around with it while riding. To me their dangerous and I refuse to put one on my bike. I've even pulled up beside one rider and yelled at him to stop F^&(ing around with his GPS and pay attention, that was on a chapter ride and he was endangering other riders around him. :banghead:
I say if you want one set it and then leave it alone until you stop. :cussing:

I keep the GPS in the tour-pack and check it or the map at breaks and commit the roads to my memory, and sometimes the wife looks at it and points out the turns if need be. Keeps my attention where it should be.

I like GPS's, just don't think that they should be messed with while riding. That is the good thing about having a rider a long is that they can help with where ya need to go if you have to be in a certain spot. :D
