Stayed home all day yesterday watching war movies, drinking beer and hanging out with Mac the wife. Our deepest thanks for all veterans for their service and sacrifices so that we may enjoy living in the greatest country on earth. Salute!

Rat Patrol was cool. I had a buddy that bought a surplus army jeep in drums. He assembled it and used to tear up the streets with a hat pinned up on the side and the windshield down! Funny guy he's now a millionaire with houses in Az, CA and Hawaii.

I have a new addition. My ankle surgery went well and healed very fast. Sunday walking down steps on my deck my left knee went "Pop" and gave out I went down like I got hit with a 45. Spent 2 days with it elevated and iced. Waiting for doc to call me in to see if it was my ACL

We found out a previous VA agent filled out my paper improperly even putting the wrong dates down. So they were going to cancel my VA benefits. So all is now good with that one and now they are looking into the explosion and cannon fire that slammed me into a bulkhead and knocked me uncouncious. No comments to now we know why.:D They are going to give me 10% comp for having my right hand nearly severed, its still weaker than the left one.

Fatboy very sorry to hear about the knee, man that had to hurt. I think we all played and worked to hard when we was younger.

My friend Loren who helped me drive to AZ to pick up Olbill is now in the hospital. His liver won't pass blood through it and just talked to his wife. She said he is in Surgery as I right this, pretty worried about him. He is also a Vietnam vet and know that he got a lot of that Agent Orange on him. We're all praying for him that he makes it.

He's got my prayers too. I lost a few friends to A Orange. Got a bud who is in wheelchair for 15 years, no hair, no genitals, wife left, almost homeless all from that shirt. Just when I think I have a tough time I gotta remind myself that I don't.

His surgery lasted an hour longer than was supposed to. Sounds like they had to put a stint into the main blood vessel in his liver. Will see him tomorrow. He's been a good friend for many years and have done a lot with him. Guy always has a good positive attitude sure pray he come out of it OK.

One of our local digital channels (11.2) has Combat and 12 o'clock High in the early morning hours - about 3 am - so if my chemo gut wakes me up,I'll turn on the TV and watch them. GREAT programs.:):)

When I was a kid, we discussed Combat day after it showed every week. Conversation was kinda like, what was your Dad in (what service)? The thought of Combat brings back good memories. ;)
