most have seen the roadside memorials to folks that have died in accidents. well the goobers in my neck of the woods have taken it up a notch.....i couldnt get pics of the burnouts and doughnuts that adorned the hiway in front of this memorial, as it was raining. i wonder if the bud or miller lite put him there????? this is maintained year round with fresh cans weekly.......:)

The memorial we put up for our friend Mike didn't look anything like that and it was done in total respect along with Marine Corp emblems. He didn't drink. I don't understand the booze idealization mentality thing at all. Drinking and riding don't mix and that includes drugs to. Those drinking and riding are stupid. Sorry I just don't like the riding impaired thing at all and won't ride with those that are. :banghead:

Also agree - didn't join the legion riders for that very reason. Great bunch of guys but ridin post to post and watchin the guys slop it down left a sour taste in my mouth. After stop 5, I just cut loose and headed home. sober and enjoyin the ride.
Also the state has a law against putting up roadside memorials; BUT they don't enforce it. And ya do see a lot of white crosses along side the hiways.
I for one like the idea; maybe someone will take notice and back off the throttle or put the cell phone on hold and get to where their going in one piece and even more important ! pay attention to whats goin on around them.
