I would like to share an experience with you all, about drinking and driving. As you well know, some of us have been known to have had brushes with the authorities on our way home from the odd social session over the years.

A couple of nights ago, I was out for a few drinks with some friends and had a few too many beers and some rather nice claret. Knowing full well I may have been slightly over the limit, I did something I've never done before - I took a bus home. I arrived home safely and without incident, which was a real surprise, as I have never driven a bus before and am not sure where I got this one.

Merry Christmas to all of you out there on BT.

Funny! Here's one: Years ago when I worked in NYC the company held a Christmas party. We had several different offices in and around NYC that attended and there was about 75 people there. Plenty of drinking going on that night! Since most of us took trains into the City it didn't matter. My boss tells one of the guys to unscrew a light bulb in the overhead chandelier every time he sees the boss with a fresh drink. We asked why, he responds when the chandelier is dark he knows he had enough. We laughed. We didn't unscrew any bulbs though. About two weeks later the bigger boss calls our office looking for our boss. We haven't seen him since the party we say. He says no one has seen him since the party and he doesn't answer his home phone (before cellphones and beepers!) Well another week or so goes by and we hear that he called the main office and asked them to wire money to DALLAS, TEXAS! He doesn't know how he got there and he needs bail money! Public intoxication! They sent him money and when he showed up to work he was fired. My company had No sense of humor.

Reminds me, many years ago, 33 to be exact or 34 come May, there was an incident the night before my wedding that involved a bunch of beer and a school bus. Don't remember it exactly, but only time I ever tried to drive a bus. :D

    Merry Christmas HarleysLR... ;)
