:wtf: The weather here really took a dump this morning. Temp. dropped to 24 deg. last nigh and it snowed. Woke up this morning and highways were covered in ice. Then came the salt and sand trucks .Now the highways have a coating of salt on them. I won't ride now until it rains to wash that crap of the highway. I don't remember it ever being this cold and snowing this early in Oct. I confused on this global warming thing I think it is really global cooling.

I agree with you on Global Cooling, Last night we had freezing rain which is now snow and the roads are very slick with black ice. I did see one sand truck out on our way back from church this evening.
We are thinking of looking for a place in Texas Hill Country to winter.
    Does it snow down there?

No kidding. I'm freezing, and we have snow on the ground. It started snowing when we were at church on Friday night, which made for a terrible 30 mile drive home in white-out conditions. Plus all my classes for the weekend got canceled. :gah:

Time to start looking for a job to get me through the winter.:gah::gah:

Same crap in northern Iowa. Snow didn't amount to much, just got the grass covered, but we got caught in some cold air saturday morning as the low was 18 degrees. Lots of wind to go with it. What kind of crazy keeps us up in this part of the country anyway ?

I couldn't live where you do. We get some rain here in the Pacific NW but for the most part very little snow, except for last December but only lasted a couple weeks.
I like it here in the Northwest couldn't ask for better country.

harleysLR I have seen it snow in the hill county but not a lot & not even close to Colo snow fall ,But I have seen it snow here at the coast as well . about 6in a few years back & about 2-3 in last year but all in all Colo is a very pretty place in the summer months & very white in the winter months , way back in the early 70's is the only time I put my bike up for more then a week because of the weather & I was living in colo sprgs at that time

Cowboy, Yes Colorado really is a great place to live, we never really put the bikes away they are always ready to roll, sometimes it may be a week or even 2 between rides but very rarely longer than that. I’ve been here since 59. Been a lot of places but this home.
