I am just curious as to what odds and ends I am going to need for reassembly of my project? I have the inner cam bearings, new orings have been suggested, new outer cam bearings have been suggested. I have plenty of locktite. What is needed for the cylinders and heads clean up?

I suppose I need to add assembly lube, and some sort if cleaning agent for the cylinders with a brush of some kind. Locktite should be added to just name a few.

    Does anyone have anything else???

Heck, I just used dish soap & water to clean my cylinders and then after rinsing & drying them with compressed air, wiped on a thin film of regular ol' motor oil in the bores so they wouldn't start to rust. Instead of assembly lube, you could use, again, regular ol' motor oil. I keep a quart of 10W30 around for stuff like that.

You should try to save a little money where you can - it adds up fast!

I use red locktite on EVERYTHING on my shovel because of the VIBRATIONS it creates.

If you're interested in a classic example on how to get the most out of the least, watch the movie, "The World's Fastest Indian".

warm water and dawn dishwashing soap and elbow greese . blow them off with compreesed air and wd 40 them down . lucas assembly lube on skirts and pins . wipe the rings down well after you file them . before install . take your finger with assembly lube and just wipe the bottom portion of the jug before assembly and install . heads will be washed before assembly due to the fact that the guides were honed and the machinest wont assemble the heads dirty after honing was done . blow them off i you like with compressed air and wipe the deck suface with a rag and brake clean . same on deck of jugs before assembly . cometic gaskets are to be installed very dry and clean with no oring on dowel !!!!!

you can make all the lists you want
you can put a check list on a board, hang it on the wall
you can read every friggin manual and instruction sheet
you can prep and buy all the stuff you think you need, however

you will drop something, somewhere and not be able to find it
you will break something you didn't think to have a spare of
something you buy will be wrong because either you gave the wrong PN, or
the part in the box isn't the right part, or, the manual gives you the old PN which
    fits a previous model and,

it doesn't matter because you will find all this out on sat night at 2 am
when everything is closed and you can't go on without having whatever
it is you lost, screwed up or got wrong in the first place..

Ha-ha - oh yez! 'Specialy the part about dropping something and not being able to find it, even after skim lighting the floor with a flash light and sweeping every square inch of it and then inspecting the debris with a magnifying glass . . .

Reckon we've all done that one . . . LOL
