    Hey folks,

I have a 2001 flstf that i rebuilt the carb on with the cvp performance tuners kit with the ezadjust mixture screw. Before the rebuild it would backfire the the carb constantly. After the rebuild it will occasionaly backfire if i blip the throttle but other than that it runs fantastic. The real issue i'm having is that it runs extremely rich and im getting abouf 25mpg. The mixture screw adjustment does nothing. I can turn it all the way in or out with absolutley no change in the way it runs. Any suggestions? As i stated it runs awesome, but the mileage issue is hard on the pocket book and you can really smell the richness. I can't figure out why the mixture screw doesn't change anything.
Thanks in advance for any and all help!

any update here? Did it work? I'm having similar issues on a 2001 fxdxt. Only I wouldn't say it's running good at all. VERY rich, and mixture screw does nothing..

This thread is over a year old and was resolved.

If your carb is running rich it is probably the jetting unless the mixture screw is not screwed in all the way. The following page shows a picture and description of the screw fully seated prior to adjusting.
