i dont feel your map tunning or cams or exhaust is your problem . its more of your primary gearing . most guys that do what you have done feel the bike comes on a little late with those cams . the are more fitted for a liter bike . is it a 96 ci -or a 103. ? i think if you go with a diffrent primary gearing she will put the cam pull were you want the torque. the 583 grind is more of a softail or dyna cam .they jump out of the hole quicker.

Get a woods 4 degree advance cam, advance the 583's a bit and they will come on
earlier and give you a bit more static compression and move the tq curve down about 400 rpm. Cheaper than new cams...

If you are running the pro-pipe HS its a good 2-1 so it should work well.

Gearing on the 08 I think was improved they changed the rear wheel pulley to get more acceleration already so changing the primary isn't needed, if they didnt you can go to same rear pulley and front pulley for the 09 and up's I know it's changed there so the big bikes will move out a bit quicker.

Ya think ? Hell get that much. He's got quite a bit of over lap like 42 deg . Guess I should have read the post better thought it was 06 glide. For the gear change. Guess the later ones they change the gearing for the 200 tire? Guess a cheap fix would be head gasket and shave a bit off as well those heads flow pretty good.

yeah the best bet is to change the cams,
however depending on budget the +4 will at least
get the cam coming on sooner.

Not sure what primary ratio they are running in the 08
its kinda a bastard year, change over from 07 and previous
to 09 and up frame, TBW etc...

headwork, thinner head gaskets, more squeeze, more power...

if your running stock compresion, youde be better off with the S&S .551`s,(or bump the compresion to around 10.2-1 and go with a set of woods 555)
