OKAY GUYS....... I KNOW THIS IS A VERY OOOOOLLLLLLLDDDDDDD MYTH THAT ENVOLVES MAKING LOW OCTANE GAS HIGH OCTANE GAS ?!?!?!?!

IVE PURCHASED 2 DIFFERENT TYPES OF (GAS ENHANCEMENT) OR (FUEL INJECTOR CLEANER ) SEEMS LIKE THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS THAT ONE HAS THE SMELL OF MOTH BALLS AND THE OTHER REAKS OF IT !!!!!!!

NOW I KNOW THAT THERE ARE SOME OUT THERE THAT ARE FIRM BELIEVERS IN THE FACT THAT MOST OF THIS STUFF **DOES NOT WORK**

BUT I ALSO KNOW THAT EVERY NOW AND THEN THERE ARE THOSE ODD BALL GUYS THAT YOU MEET THAT KNOW A THING OR TWO ABOUT EITHER CARBS OR FUEL OR IN MY CASE BOTH !!!!

PLAIN AND SIMPLE....... THE GUY THAT REBUILT OUR SLEEKCRAFTS CARB (MADE THE DAMN THING SIP ON FUEL COMPARED TO HOW IT RAN BEFORE!!!!!!!) HAS A FLIPPEN CRATE ( YES CRATE = 50 BOXES) OF MOTH BALLS HE USES IN HIS GASS ( ALL OF HIS VEHICLES AND HIS 1967 SPORTY )

HIS RATIO FOR THE WINTER IS 5 MOTH BALLS PER 1 GALLON OF GAS AND IN THE SUMMER HE BUMPS UP TO 7 TO 1

HE RUNS 7 TO 1 IN HIS SPORTY ALL THE TIME !!

SO MY REAL QUESTION IS ANYONE (ELSE) DO THIS FOR THE BETTER FUEL OR IN MY BUDDYS CASE TO KEEP SLUDGE OUT OF THE MOTOR ?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?

ANY NAYS OR YAYS ARE GREATLY APPRICIATED !!!!!!

Maybe his CAPS LOCK is stuck?
As for Moth Balls in the tank - they do increase HP but also add a few things that will harm the inside of fuel system with extended use. I'll run down some info on this and get it posted as soon as I can.

    JUST SO YA KNOW !
There are two different types of moth balls - The older type is composted of Napthalene and the newer type is composted of Paradichlorobezene.
Both types sublimate from a solid straight to a a gas- the gas is toxic to moths.
The main threat is breathing the fumes, also may have camphor added as a insect repellent. They also used to clean the pipes on woodburning stoves.
    Dangers are:
    Inhaling concentrated fumes
ingesting or eating them - HIGHLY TOXIC!
    Solvent abuse by kids
    Carcinogen
Forms a bond with soil that will kill benefical soil insects.
It has been proven plausible that adding moth balls to a fuel tank will improve HP.

Listed by the EPA and other Goverment sources as a pesticide
7.5 million lbs. used as pest control yearly
369 million lbs. used by the Dept. of Defense yearly
1.84 billion lbs. used by US jet market yearly
Toxic level 2 - for inhaling
Toxic level 3 - for contact to skin and eyes
Inhalation causes dizziness - vomiting - nausea - headaches - shortness of breath - coughing - burning eyes
Napathalene can also kill red blood cells causing hemolytic anemia and is also linked to nasal cancer.

Moth crystals are made from Paradichcorobenzene (PDB) which is more toxic than Napatlene. Prolonged exposure on plastics may melt them.
PDB is a suspected carinogen causing cancer.
Repeated inhalation can be fatal - especially for children, elderly people, pets, and indirectly for fetuses.

    TO SUM IT UPParadicholobenzene:
Possible effects: vapor ittitates skin, eyes and respiratory tract, large doses can cause injury to liver, suspected carcinogen.
    Naphthalene
damages liver, prolonged vapor exposure has led to cataract formation.

Think I'll pass on using this in my fuel tank.

Yes, I here there are snakes in Colorado, but I have lived in here since 1958 and have never seen one in the wild. I had a little ranch out east of Colorado Springs and never saw any out there either. Not rattlers anyway.
Maybe it was the moth balls in my pockets that kept them away. :roflmao:
Man, those are huge, looks like belts or boots to me or a nice seat cover.

I never thought of a snake as being affectionate or are those two getting ready to do battle. Good reason to pack a gun around there. :gah:

I also hate it when going into a crawl space under a house and seeing all those moth balls thrown all around, make me wonder just what in the f&^k is in there. I know one thing it don't bother the black widows or the wolf spiders and the Hobo Spiders which both can make you really sick or kill you.

Here is some I get to contend with, some bad boys and girls.

thanks everyone for the input and the snake pics :d( my eyes are damaged from modern day contacts so when i type the straighter lines from caps help my see along with useing the windows "accessability" tools ) so no im not shouting......

I posted this when i first joined casue i was first using a (sportster talk) fourm but noone would listen to my questions so i left after the 10000000 th comment/reference to not use caps ( even after i explained why i use them)
    ------------------------------------------------------------------
im not very thrilled about using moth balls but ive herd that using 1/2 oz of wd40 TO 1 GA. OF gas will do about the same ( and more trust worthy ) imo:d
