Been trying to find out a little about these transmissions as I have one. They are made in America, I think, but other than that, I can find no history about them. Anyone out there know anything about them? Did they come as original equipment?

Mine works very well, except for the leaking main shaft.

:roflmao: I just happened to be at the town RR depot that day and a photographer was there and wanted to take some pics of the bike. He made an 8x10 and brought it to me the other day, no charge.

Can't be me - I'm not handsome! BTW, I saw a guy in Scotland Neck yesterday on a fatboy. Some gnarly ol' coot tellin' me how old he was and all about his aches and pains. When he found out I had 8 years on him, he toned it down a bit. The kicker pedal really impressed him . . .;)

Is your new signature pic you back in the day? That looks like one of the first 4 banger 750's.

Yep, it's me, circa 1976 on my fairly new '76 Honda CB 750!

I rode one of those once. I let my buddy ride my Ironhead - we switched bikes for a little ride. I remember that Honda was the smoothest riding bike of that size I'd ever ridden. It was quick, too, and no vibration at all compared to my Sporty.

I was glad to get my bike back!:D

Yep, it was quick but it did have a high freq buzz. when on highways. The stock seat was a butt killer too. Charlie46 and I took a ride with the wives to Wash DC. After about 3 hours on the I95 I would have sold it for $50! In 78 I got me a Goldwing and dressed it up with Vetter equipment. Back then you couldn't buy a fulll boat bike. Took that wing all over the NE states.
