it is not our cup of tea........we are on the "go" alot and the motorhome seemed to cramp that type of style. if was more than comfy, preformed flawlessly. it was nice but it just seemed to "confining". would have been great if i could have had my shop with me and the ol'lady had her quilting machine and stuff with her. guess were not the sit around type..hard to explain...

I guess we take ours down to the coast a lot and were gone all day, to much to do and see. The weather is great runs in the 60-70s in the summer, if you fish you could do it all day.

I would really ride a trike before I build one.
I've rode more than 3 and I freaked out. Couldn't handle riding em
The OL laughed her butt off watchin me. She said she didn't like em either.
They use a whole lot more gas too.
And if you git on the interstate, Hold on. and take some nerve pills.

the key to riding a trike is to not let the front wheel sit on the ground to long.........

    Ahhhhh Whatever you say.
We got several people that ride trikes that I ride with, I see them and how they ride and their gas milage and all.
Their fuel milage is like a sportster.
Rode one of their 2010 Ultra trikes.
Rode a 2011 SG trike and a 2011 ultra trike.
    No trike for this family.

Oh gee, my bike is about 400 lbs heavier than yers and you want to compare gas milage. plus it has a fairing.on the interstate I adverage around 210 milea on 6 gallons running 70 or so.
I rode a sporty back in the early 70's.
I've told you. Lets go in a trip to Big Bend. You pack yer sporty and I will pack my EG. You put yer wife on back and I will put my Ol on back. We can hit I-10 and ride 750 miles in a day. We will probaly adverage 75-80 till we hit kerrville, then its 85-90.
Tell me how it was for you.
I got a 09 Nightster sittin down stairs.

The wife really likes her trike and can do 80 down the Interstate with it without any issues. That's pretty fast for her. She can corner really well on it and a person that knows how to put a trike through the paces can ride the corners as fast as a two wheeler can, seen it done.
She always says trikes don't fall over and for her that's a good thing. Here is a pic of her trike after I got it finished up.

When you cover ground you can't site see all day. You go to git it and go.
Stop for Fuel, to pee and grap a BBQ and hit the road again.
750 miles on a bike in a day is leaving at 6:00 in the mornin and gittin there aound 9:00 at nite if yer lucky. And you can't do it running 55-60.

Hey Redneck come on down to Texas, you better drive the speed limit or faster or some cager is gonna be pushin you from behind cause yer in their way.
    Want to drag Ass.
And if you've got a 750 miles ride , ride like I said how long do you think you have to mosey around.
Ever rode 750 miles in a day ?
When you take a vacation I guess you can take yer time and do whatever you want. But me I usually got 4-5 days and its over.
A day to git there, 2 days to ride around and a day to git home. and the 5th day to take a break.
Last trip was over 2400 miles in 4 days to Big Bend and back.
We ain't riding no Mini Bike hittin bars man.

I see somebody everyday, gittin a camper to pull or a motorhome style.
The spend a couple days packin it. Got to have all the bells and whistles of home.
Then they hit the road and find out the fuel it uses to git it there and got to find a place to park it and hook it up to elec and water.
Oh how nice. I could live in it.
Then they come home and need at least a couple days to clean it out and up.
    Too much work for me.
Stop in a Motel 6 and stay for the nite, 30.00 for me and 10.00 for the OL.
No bed to make or nothin to clean.
Got a shower, good bed and running water and a can.
