i am going to assume you DONT have a service manual. :gah:

get the bike on a good surface. i use a pry bar with very good protection ( rubber sleeve) i get it between the frame and engine and see what type of movement i have, do the same at the rear and on top of the engine. inspect for loose bolts by using a wrench on them for movement. be very carefull where you place the bar, you dont want to snap some piece of aluminum off, that will cost more than the price of a service manual that outllines the procedure.
while checking the bolts you should also check for proper torque...a bolt not at torque specs will cause vibration also. have fun and let us know what ya find????
