I herd you can use stove pipe rope on baffles. Has any one out there used the stove pipe rope and what size? 3/8in or 1/2in or 5/8in and how did it work out? I got wild pig mufflers. baffle wrap gone.

Should work and the wider would be better. The SE pipes that I have taken apart have a fiberglass blanket type of insulation and after removing I re-wrapped them using the same packing but also tied it down and held them in place with heavy bailing wire.

the thicker the stove rope you use means the muffler is going to be quiter(sp).
I have used this stuff before and it will work; but doesn't last as long as the OEM wrap made for your mufflers. Might want to check the manufacters web site and see if replacements are available. Most of them are.
