This is my Grandmothers House. She paid 385,000 for it over 30 yrs ago.
She passed away years ago. She has a daughter that is 10 yrs older than me and one that is one yr younger than me.
The House in across from NASA in South Houston.
Nasa is gone. Nobody hardly doing anything there.
They have astronauts and doctors living next door to them . Big Deal
I lived here with my Grandmother in 1984 when I 1st come to Texas.

The house is on the Bay up miles and miles from Galveston. The water from Hurricaines has flooded it like 4 times.

Think it was Fema said the house had to be like 12" off the ground. And there was a deadline date of this year.

The house is a 2 story house built on a concrete slab.

I have tried and tried to get them for about 14 yrs to sell it and move farther inland. But they wouldn't.

Got no idea how much this cost. And don't want to know.
And how they are ever gonna retire and pay taxes on this house is beyond my wildest imagination.
And the home owners association in this community is very strong.

So you know if they had to do it. All their neighbors had to do it.

With all the homes down there, this will be in the billions of dollars being spent.

Talked to my aunt by email
She said her and her sister had to have the house moved 18' off the ground.
