I just bought a 2003 RoadKing for the long road trips that we take out here in the desert, my other bike is a 2004 Fatboy. While in traffic the other day I noticed that the passenger footboards hit me right in the back of the calf on the RoadKing. To walk the bike while at a light is just down right aweful experience.

Has anyone else experienced this and is there any remedies out there-

Welcome to the site there Flatop ,I have not experience that but is there a way you can move them back or up, maybe add an extension on the arm ?? Don't know
My 82 has footpegs but since I solo most the time, I just keep them vertical.

    ???

    Sorry, no solution flattopjohnny.

Why would you be ‘walking’ your bike at a light?

    Did you stall it?

Or do I just not understand...

same issue on my 04 EGlide standard.....just have to remember when they are down not to let your feet stray so far back...... For those that are wondering about "walking", I think it is when you are creeping in traffic...not fast enough to pull feet up to pegs, but you need to roll forward a couple feet.....

Same here but I just try to place my feet out far enough to clear. Still, you can get a pretty good frog in the calf as a reminder.

"It's all coming back to me now!" he said as he peed into the wind.

Then he picked up his hammer and saw! :D
