My new Fat Chizeled H-D bars on the new Heritage FLHCS. I like 'em pulled back, rather than the ape-hanging look. That look is cool, but I went with function over art form. Narrower bars feel way different, but good. Easily executes figure 8's on the street with room to spare! Now I just need new pipes, but with the warranty demanding only Screaming Eagle tuner modules, I'll wait a bit on that. And, yeah, the windshield still fits just fine for the long rides - in case anyone wondered.

I thought about that sound bar but think I'd opt for a BT helmet setup with the speakers in the helmet to connect to the phone, put the phone on a bar mount for the GPS.

That way you get prompts from GPS/Waze, music, phone calls and texting if you like and the microphone lets you comm other bikes too with the same setup..

HRK, that is good info for those who want to get the most out of their technology. I hope that folks that are interested in that see your recommendations. Maybe you will start a thread about staying plugged in while riding, with different option recommendations? I think you'd get some attention for that.

As for me, as of this moment I have no idea how to get music out of my phone. Bluetooth, to me, is the name of a famous Viking king. I have nothing against those of you who want those capabilities, its just that I haven't had the desire yet. I used to work, professionally, with the leading communications technologies, but just not anymore. I'd say more, but I'd have to kill myself! Thanks anyway, for the suggestions.

One of they guys i rode with today had one. Freaken loud loud. Surprised for such a small unit. Music not distorted when loud either. Base off a smidge.

I meant to take a picture of it.

You may have sold me on that Kury unit. I have had times when stopped that tunes would have been great, so I may break down and get one, and once it is there I may even use it while riding! Not buying immediately, gotta save a few bucks first. Thanks for the review!

I'll ask my friend to send me a picture of it so you can see how much space it doesn't take when mounted.

I checked out the Road Thunder online. Yeah, 300 watts or no buy. As for fitment, it looks clear that the mounts can adjust significantly, so it can be made to fit just about any bar set-up. I want it :arghh:I want it :arghh:I want it:arghh:!!!! But it is a few bucks more than I need to spend right now.....I think....then, again........ Oh well, leaving for the boonies well past Gerlach today, so won't buy immediately.

Call Phil, he's a Kuryakyn dealer, get you a good price..

The BT stuff is pretty simple, as long as you pair (match up) the
device to your phone it's private and works automatically.

The HD BT stuff only work with HD BT headsets, made by Sena...
    go figure.

But your Iphone/android will pair with any of the aftermarket BT
    helmet sets.

Heres is a picture of my friends installed. My friend said:

"Best I've got at the moment, don't hesitate to let me know if you need others! Also, I had trouble finding a switched power line for both Accessory and Ignition so if your friend needs a tip on where to find one I may be able to save him a lot of grief!"

I’ve tried Sena and two others in my helmet. Blue toothed and wired. My SE II mufflers prevent hearing any thing at a volume that won’t destroy my ears or brain. BTW that was with a modular helmet.
