    Ok guys and gals,

I think that I have narrowed it down to 4 bikes that i am interested in buying for my next ride although one of them will most likely be the overwhelming favorite, I probably won't buy it just because it will need a lot of work.

Here is what I have narrowed it down to.
    1.) Soft tail deluxe-07-newer
2.) Heritage 02 with 17k and looks like a deluxe (white walls)
    3.) Crossbones
    4.) 56 K model.

Other than the k model, the other 3 are very similar to each other. What is everyone's opinion? What are your reasons for your choice?

Why do you choose that bike over the others?

#2, but dump the whitewalls. Looks good, rides nice, low but not too low like the deluxe.
    decent handle bars, nice bags.

i picked 1, cause it sounds stock......able to modify it to your liking.....and not have to start removing other folks stuff.....i have ridden one and it really rides nice. have customized others and there is a ton of stuff out there for them........of course, pics and prices would help to determine better....................

I would pick the 56 k. It's the same age as me. It's a way cool part of history. You won't see to many others on the road.

    Of course, I choose #1

I actually like the way the Deluxe rides over the Heritage....plus deluxe can be personalized easier than Heritage (they all look the same). #3 only if looking for bar hopper...

I demo'ed the crossbones last year and liked the handling but didn't care for rear fender setup and the flip seat for the pass.
I's opt for the hertiage - it's good for local runs and will do well on crosscountry runs also - very comfortable ride for the long haul.

I'd go with the #1 for the same reasons as Chuck 'n Chrome - especially since you're set on the Softail suspension - as you can personalize it to whatever you ultimately want easier/cheaper.

If you never want to do any modifying, then I'd say #2 or #3.

The '56 K is a great 2nd bike, but I personally wouldn't want to ride something like that too much unless I had the shop/parts/skill to keep her running.

Got a Heritage, disagree on the conversion, easier to convert a Heritage to a deluxe than the other way around, windshield pops off, bags come off, you can get e-z detach system for the bags, quick release for the backrest and you have a Deluxe, want to go for a long ride, put the stuff back on, got a mini bagger..

Crossbones is kool be great for tooling around town, drop in a 107 Zippers or 106 SNS piston and jug kit, clean up the heads, a mild cam and that would be a fun bike to ride

56 is kool but do you really want to
ride it all the time, or would it end up being
    a collectors garage bike...

I would have to agree with the ones that say that the X-Bones would make a great tooling around bike. That is not what I am looking for. I do like the the 56, but this bike would be one that would get restored and then sit in the garage. So this leaves the Deluxe and the Heritage. I like the both of them, but the Heritage seems to be what I like to call "cookie cutter". Pretty much everyone that I have seen, all look a like to me. They are nice, but as someone had said, the colors that they usually are in are kind of boring. I guess I am leaning towards the Deluxe because I see nothing but COMPLETE CUSTOM written all over it. I have thought about putting a set of hard bags on it, with fish tails along with a nice set of apes. I would probably leave the white walls though.:D

I don't disagree the Deluxe is good looking however...

Have the dealer put a set of wide whites on the heritage if you get
one. Then put on Bubbas brakes detachable bag kit for quick stock leather bag removal, and the windshield that you get with the bike and it's a Deluxe, only the fender badge and exhaust are different, and you'll change the pipes anyway.

BTW does this look like your daddy's heritage LOL
