Just got a '63 xlch that has a magento which doesn't have the easiest access to it . I replaced the points and condenser and found the points were hard to set w/ a blade type feeler gauge. I can't find one of these antiques that have the wire, in fact some of these kids don't even know what i'm taking about. Quess my age is showing..
Anyone know where i can get the wire type feeler gauge?

I would check Sears. I have had the same one for about thirty-years now. Its about time for a new one too.

Hi- I called 2 local Sears stores and neither had them. One of the guys i talked to there had no idea what i was talking about.I had to explain to him that back in the days of the dinosaurs there were feeler gauges made of different size wires. :)
