The wonderful response you will probably get from folks everywhere will be..."get a maintenance manual". It'll be a whole lot more specific than second hand info. Good luck!

I happen to have a manual for that. If you like, I will take a look and see if I can scan it for you. I haven't looked at it in years. What are you looking to repair specifically? I think there are several diagrams if I remember correctly.

needs wiring diagram suzuki gs 1100 e

im looking mainly for the diagram for the ignition and charging. i traded for this bike originally and the harness was cut and mostly missing. it has dual coils and a electronic ignition . i have matched the main wire plugs up as best i can without the diagram , by color coding. i have cut , chopped , and raked the frame. it was kind of a cafe racer. now only the engine cradle is factory. i just need enough to make it run. keep it simple, just like back in the day. can you help me? big thanks for what ever you can do .

Why not buy a new wiring harness and be done with it. You could search some motorcycle junk yards and get one. There is nothing worse then trying to work with an cut/chopped/missing/screwed-up wiring harness. You are in for some serious heart-burn.
    Buy the manual...
    GOOD-LUCKā€¦

I'll check my manual tonight and get back to you tomorrow. However, Killer B is probably right. There are plenty of these things out there. There must be a salvage yard somewhere that has a complete harness. That would be a lot easier and more dependable down the road. And if your time is worth money, you'll end up saving money.

    Try this link: http://www.oldkawman.com/gsparts.html

I've bought some things from him in the past and harnesses are one of the items he lists on his web page. I used to have a 1982 GS1100EZ and a friend of mine still has a 1979 GS1000L. So I understand how difficult it can be to get some of the parts.

    Good luck.

    Thugg33,

I was just told that the 82 and 81 clusters are completely different. I still think the parts you need are the same but if it looks different, let me know. I also have access to the 82 diagram although I can't get it until next week.
