Neutral light

    My neutral light comes on when I am riding, mechanic checked it out and found nothing wrong . This problem comes and goes . Can someone give me some advice.thanks 2007 rd king classic

    Wish I could help. My Sportster has trouble finding neutral and occasionally is in neutral without a light, go figure. It does sound like a short of some kind that's brought about while riding. Perhaps your mechanic could ride it a bit and see if it happens to him also. He might get an idea of the cause that way. Good luck, it sounds frustrating.

    I remember a thread on this problem before, I haven't had this problem.......yet.... but check out some past threads I believe it was a 06 that had a problem.

    It sounds like something simple like a switch sticking. My manual is down in the shop If I think of it tomorrow I will look or if you have a manual (and everybody should) trace the wiring or mechanical device down to where it triggers and Ill bet you will find your problem. AL

    i remember too, think it was an 07, but it was the same exact situation as this:D

    There was a problem with the nuetral switches in the 06 baggers, they redesigned the switch. Don't mess with it, it's under warrenty, make the dealer fix it! It could be the switch isn't seated, or the shift drum could be out of tolerance. Whatever, make your warrenty work for you.

    My 07 Road King Does The Same Thing, Not All The Time Just Every Once In A While. I Would Not Worry About It, Next Time U Have It At Dealer Maybe For Maintance Let Them Check It Out, Its Really No Big Deal
