Found out today, the engines for the 09-11 will not fit the 07 and 08.
Ain't this nice and SE has their engines on sale.

In '09, H-D changed the FLH frames, and the way the motor mounts to these for a more solid feel. Mounts can be modified on '08 and earlier if you wanted the new engines.

I can git a 110cu motor for a killer price. Have talked to several dealers and they haven't done one yet and not sure if it will fit or not.

Like I said, when they changed the frame on the 09-11 models, they changed the motor mounts on them.

The 110cu motors for the older bikes before 09 are not offered in any of the catalogs any longer. They are discontinued......
The newer bike motors are on sale.

I bet you can get your dealer to do a dealers search to see if there any floating around out there. Still, you should be able to alter the motor mounts to make that work. Can't imagine that they would change the mounts. Talk to some indy shops that have done the conversion to see if it can be done??

Did they change just the mounts to fit the new frame, or change the cases on the engine also.

Talked to about 5 HD dealerships. They said when they changed to the new style frames they changed the how the motor mount go to the frame.
One said they think it might be able to work. But I can't order a motor thinkin that.
I have a arm on the front of the motor that has a adjustment in it. Its called a stabilizer link.

Did you have them do a search for an older 110 that will fit? FI you want, I can get a hold of my dealership to see if you can get one or not??? My dealership is great at finding stuff. If you need some help, just ask brother and I will.

    Hey CB,

I just got off the phone with my dealership and they are putting together a parts list. He is pricing a 120r and then other components needed for the swap, which does not include mounts as I was told werre not needed for the 120. go to Hd site and look at the price and subtract 15% off as that is the price I can get it for. Questions? Email me and we can talk there or PM.

CB, they started putting the 110 in bikes in 2007 so it should work.

HD has a part number 19176-11 which is a whole Black motor for the 11 bikes.
It doesn't come with the intake and stator.
This is the engine I want to put in my bike.
I don't want no upgrade kit.
Want to make sure before I order it that it will fit.
The previous year part numbers are not listed anymore.

I think I'll go get on my 103 and go for a ride, its sunny and now up to 30.

Got the drugs from the doc, on the mend and time to ride.

CB, make sure they have all the issues taken care of with that 110 motor.
Dealer up here still don't like em, they think the 103 is a better engine.
