In colorado springs you wouldn't have to call the cops they would probaly give you a ticket without calling them. Not to be a smart a$$, but I have ridden with a couple of guys with pipes like that. Never again. Ridding is suppose to be enjoyable, not cause headaches.

Anyhow, the pipe i would recommend would get you more perfomance, not loud. I really liked the V&H Pro Pipe. Had it on my Deuce. Nice sound and great performance. Just my thoughts

If you want loud, just pull the pipes off and run without 'em.

We have a guy in our HOG chapter on a V-Rod that has the loudest obnoxious pipes in the world. Everybody in the chapter complains about him and no one wants to ride with him or especially behind him. WE have all complained directly to him about it. Might want to think about just how loud you might want to go. When they really hurt the old ears then its just to loud. Now a Harley with a set of really good sounding and not overly loud pipes sounds really nice.

I've always like the sound of the 4 pipes on my Royal Star by Barons. They're a fairly heavy gauge metal and remind me of that ole V8 Chevy sound from the 60's and 70's. But I grew tired of riding long distance with em cause they're pretty loud. If I hadn't gotten the FJR to tour with, I was going to change the RS's pipes because it just got tiring after a few hours, and nobody wanted to ride behind me. For short trips and around town I don't care. They do do a good good job of setting off car alarms in parking lots though.

When I was cruising down I-80 to Salt Lake and back I loved the sound of the V&H ovals. I could still here my music. Now when I would really get on the bike it seemed those pipes would just come alive with high quality sound that was just enough to set off car alarms, make people notice and just simply put a grin on my face. I think I will be going back to them. :D
