My Winter Project Is To Swap Out My Frame On My Sporty. It's A New Hardtail From Pauhco. 3" Stretch In The Backbone, 6" In The Down Tubes. 40 Deg Rake. Says It Requiers A 15 Over Front End. 42" Front Fork. Quistion Is I Want To Use My Lower Legs And Just Buy The Longer Tubes. Do I Have To Replace All The Guts Or Can I Just Make Longer Sacers For The Springs.

SPORTERBOY, A chopper huh? What lowers do you have? Lowers are not too expensive, so, if your going to go through the effort of building a custom then take your time and spend the few extra bucks to make it right the first time . I’m on my second home built custom, I skimped on the better parts to get the project on the road, then I find myself re-buying the right/correct parts to make it right.
15 over seems like an awful lot for 6” over down tubes & 40 degree neck. IJMO...
I’ll assume your going to use a 5 or 7 degree tree to correct your trail. With a 40 degree neck, 15 over tubes and the degreed tree, your looking at a real long cycle,,, your well over 50 degrees of rake. If you would like to discuss this any further you can IM me.
Oh yea, you can use all the same guts when replacing your tubes…don’t know what you mean by making longer spacers.
    Good luck.

I'd like to do something like that with my Sporty. Always wanted a hard tail bar hopper. What'd the frame set you back if you don't mind me asking??

With The Frame Oil Tank And Battery Box About 1,100 But U Also Have To Get A New Rear Brake And Forks And Cables If Needed. The Spacers I Was Talkin About Are Between The Sring And Cap Nut, Thought If You Had Longer Tubes You Might Need Longer Springs. I'm Only Going Bye What The Catalog Says On The Dem. I Could Go With A Size Under Frame That Says It Takes A 12 Over. Do You Think That The Hight Of The Neck Will Reduce Some Of The Trail? It Seems Pretty Tall. The Lower Legs Are Just The Stock, I Was Just Going To Paint Them. Every Thing I Can Paint Is Getting Flat Black Junkin All The Chrome. I'm Sure I'll Be Getting More Input As I Start The Project
