Broke down and bought a Trager big Tex yesterday at costco
picked it up today and cooked a pork loin, did very well,

grill is USA made in Oregon, no gas/propane, no charcoal, cooks
with wood pellets and electricity, nice, easy to use, hooked it right
up and it worked, You have to break it in on smoke, holy crap thought
I was up in Nawth Geeeawjuh mountains hearing banjo music!

After that the smoke cleared set the temp and it is great
    I highly recommend it.

BTW my POS SS Nexgril Charmglo piece of shidt grill is in the garage
maybe I can sell the stainless for scrap...

Fell apart in 5 years what a POS don't buy any charmglo/brinkman grills
CS is worthless,Nexgrill product grills are chinese garbage..

Electric is just used to move the fan that blows air into
the cooker, stokes the fire with fresh oxygen and circulates heat
it exits via a smoker chimney and the electric runs the heater
rod so no external fuel source needed to heat the pellets
works like a charm they have been around quite a while.

I saw some of the wood pellet grills up this way. We've got a 30 year old Broilmaster. made in Canada..gets used year 'round..just burgers and thinner steaks at 30 below though. propane/natural gas is easy to work with. I'm not sure how much life is left in the old BBQ..just put a new burner in it, parts are getting hard to find now. We did get one of those Bradley smokers though. Haven't used it yet but have had some smoked brisket from a fellow at work it turned out very well.
