Bought me a new half helmet today. Has the quick drop down half dark shield. They are great when out riding on sunny days. Half shield can be raised and lowered with one hand. Got to pull the Z off the front and by a Harley medallion and glue it on.

:(Very fine helmet & shield; it looks nice and light. I've been looking into the Visormatic (V6000 T) offered by Lick's Cycles. Looks similar to your shield. The clear one is $50. There is a version that is transitional (photo grey?) for about $100. Only works on 3/4 helmets, though. I'm thinking this will be a better alternative to my bubble shield as it fell to the floor one day and got scratched up pretty bad.

How is that half visor for deflecting the wind away from your eyes?

Perfect, I love it. Going to wear it when we ride to the Wall. Leaving July
30th and heading up through South Dakota on 90.

    Look at a AVG Migula

AGV Miglia 2 Modular Helmets - Extreme Supply

Or look at a THH modular helmet. You can ride with the clear shield up when you want more air. If its cold or rains close it.

I've never been a fan of the modular helmets. I think they are heavy and too constricting. I bet yer head feels like a baked potato in one after a while.

I don't like a helmet period... HR was religious about it, but then she rode without one and now doesn't wear it...

Not really, when we ride places in the summer, everybody face is burn up even with Sun Tan lotion on it. Our faces has hardly no sun on them.
And in the winter when they have masks on and head wraps. We just close the clear shield after we take off and breath threw our nose. Our face ain't froze.
When it rains and the rain beats yer face up like pins and needles and all.
We close the clear face shield and ride.
What kind of modular helmet you choose will probaly come close to how much air it gits in it. Another reason I ride with the clear face shield open till its cold or rains or dust and sand is in the air.

My wife complained a small amount when I 1st give her a modular helmet.
Now that she has riddin with one she don't even notise the weight.
The Pluss's far out weight the minuses.

A buddy who wore a hat helmet with a face shield who had eye surgery was askin me about a helmet. I told him about the modular helmet.
He went into a shop in Colorado Springs and tried on a THH modular
Come home with it and went on a trip. His wife was a little worn out from the wind , but he said he was much more relaxed.
Its been since april that he got this helmet.
Said he really likes the heck out of it.

If you don't use one you will never git used to one or know.
And if you fight it yer not gonna even give it a try.

That's a lot to think about, CB. I looked up the THH helmet on your link and was surprised at the low price. Thought it would be another hundred anyway. I just got a 3/4helmet the other day - the only one I have at this time. I'm going to put a half shield on it and see how I like it. Hey, I might not, too. I've never really considered a modular helmet before but now I have another option to look at.
Johnny, I don't like helmets either! I especially don't like the law telling me I have to wear one. Should be optional - really none of their business.

For winter and rainy riding I got me a Bell Revolver modular. I'm happy with it. For hot weather I have a Harley Hybrid shorty. For long rides I wear a 3/4 Snell app'd HJC. AND, I have that Scorpion shorty with the flip down sun shield that I wear when I'm letting the femine side of me show! :roflmao:
I gues I'm the Imelda Marcos of helmets. :D

Better carry one with you if you go into a state that requires one. I've worn one for so long its like second nature to me.

But I do hate the full face or modular helmets, got to feel that breeze in my face.
