V&H Straight Shots or Rhinehart Big Willy? That is my question. Any guidance will be appreciated.

My PERSONAL opinion is V&H all the way. Of course, opinions are like a**holes because everyone has one! The question you need to answer for yourself is, what is the ultimate reason for the change? Sound? Economy- custom? Style? The choices are seemingly endless, but all in the end, comes down to one thing,....the choice is yours.

First of all you are comparing short vs. long so what do you like? Why not straight shots vs. long shots? V&H are great for fit, finish, and performance... hard to go wrong. Rhineharts are great pipes too.

As far as sound goes, the straight shots will be loud with baffles and deafening without. If you are already deaf, this may not matter. The big willys will be louder than stock, and louder of course without baffles, but not dead wakening until you hammer the throttle. Take your pick.

Personally, on the Deluxe, I would go with the longer pipes...

Get the V&H big shot longs. You don't want short pipes for this bike. Also your dealer should install the stage 1 and complete the remapping. I'll send you a pic of my '05 deluxe with these pipes. That will convince you!!! :D
Nice choice of bike! Good luck, Kent
Send me an e-mail to rkwinstead@hotmail.com and i'll reply with the pic.
