Should work fine, you'll have to tinker with jetting to get it right
    at your elevation...

By tinker, will the size of jets that come with this not work, if not I may just buy jets locally.

the cv carb will adjust to altitudes a lot higher than where your at. the kit will come with proper jets. once set, you can ride from the desert to the top of pikes peak with no problems...........good luck with it and welcome to the forum:)

I live at 6,000 ft. have a CV Performance complete carb on an 02 TC 88 and a CV Carb kit in an 05 TC 88, I run a 148 slow jet & 190 main, We've been in all the western states but orgen and washingotn and never had to adjust anything, Not sure if Texas is a western state or a country all it's own, but the bikes worked good there to. :D

I got the same set up in Oregon (correct spelling and pronounced Oregun :)) on my 01 88 converted to 95 and it runs excellent, high country to the valley.

A 148 slow jet? sounds kinda big to me. A 48 sounds better.
