    Hi Guys

I have just joined this forum and look forward to learning lots about the world of HD.
I have a 2008 Sportster XL883Low and have covered 2500 miles on it so far.
Would you please give me some advice on making the bike breath better? Does this require a stage 1 operation? What's involved in all this and is it worth doing on this machine?
I'm new to HD so all comments most welcome!
    All the best
    Dean (UK)

making any engine breathe better is a good thing! to take full advantage you will also need to do the exhaust and tuner. you can add the stage one intake without doing the other mods, but wont get the full value for your money. if you do both the intake and the exhaust, you need to do the tuner also. if not the bike will give you lots of problems. any questions, just ask away.....have fun and stay safe!!

You didn't say if it was carbed or EFI - but either way will give you more bang for your pound.
The kits to do this are not that costly and the return is worth the effort. The only drawback is the tune - that can cost some and getting a good wrench is important. Some of those so called wrenches out there don't know squat and make things worst. So if you ain't doing it yourself then check around for a good shop and let them do it for you. Ask some of your riding buddys who they go to.

It could be carbed if the previous owner changed it over. I know they are all EFI from the factory but he didn't say if he got it new or from a private party - that's why I asked! Just trying to help the guy out a little.
