no fire from coil

    can someone help i have 79 XLH sportser i get power to coil but not fireing:banghead

    sleepdog, if it is not firing from either plug the coil is most likley bad....as stated. if one of the plugs is firing it could be a bad wire or plug.

    a side note.....keep the technical questions in this forum.....you will get answered much quicker. putting them in another section may not get any answers....

    two things

    either you are not getting power to the coil
    or the coil is toast.

    Coils tend to go out all at once, not over time they either work or don't...

    See if you can get one to test with from a friend.
