I'm a newbie to the site and have searched for similar problems but couldn't find anything like mine. I have a 2008 Heritage softail no mods done to anything electrical. I went for a ride and noticed that the turn signals didn't work. I turned around and went home and proceeded to check other components and found the horn and brake light didn't work either. All fuses are good. The bike stays in the garage when not riding. Any suggestions?:banghead:

I've had similar problems with my bike when my fuse blows. I would suggest checking them again more thoroughly and with a volt meter if you have one. If you find a fuse labeled "signal" or "lights" try swapping them out with a different fuse to see if that changes anything. If it doesn't, then you know it's definitely not the fuse. :p

Yep exchanged fuses and nothing. That was one of the first things I tried when it happened the other day since I didn't have those type of fuses in my garage. But I checked a couple of other things and if you turn the ignition switch on and off about ten times they worked. That looks like an intermittent thing because they stopped again and I turned the switch a couple of times again and they work. Looks like a new ignition switch is in the near future.

If you had a bad ignition switch I'd think all the electronics would fail
    not just the signals.

I'd bet on a bad TSM or TSSM or one going bad

    any codes set?

When you start it does the red engine light stay on.

When a component fails or is out of spec it's recorded in
the computer and displays the engine light after the engine is running.

No engine light after starting. Runs normal, headlight and running lights work. No flashers, no turn signals, no horn, no brake light. But I can turn switch on and off a few times or so without starting the engine and all work.

do you have a service manual ? if not start there it will be the best thing you buy for your bike ,& a parts manual to go with it , The flashers& T signals/brake light are all on the same circurt ,since the horn is out It might be in there as well , double check all plugs /wires , I would start with the horn since it sets next to the heads where it could have been knock loose & burnt ,& makesit short out , did you buy the bike new or used? PO might have had the tanks /seat off & messed with something in the harness & not said or forgot about it
