:banghead:Rode on Sunday no problems, went to go to work on Monday morning started slow. Started riding to work and the check engine light was on, also noticed that headlight seemed dim. Looked at volt meter steady at 11.15 did not change with rpm's. Any thoughts? 2002 Ultra Classic, 95CI, ThunderMax, MGS True Duals.

grab the service manual and a volt/ohm meter. it will take you step by step on checking the complete charging system....only takes about 15 minutes. a good alt. will show a charge on a weak battery. not your case, you are showing no charge........you may find bad connections at the stator wires comming out of the case into the regulator. or, going to the regulator. they catch a lot of junk from the road.........let us know!!

Thanks Chucktx, I just have to find time to do it. I have the stator replaced about 4 years ago.

    Just my 2-cents...
Sounds like your voltage regulator has failed.Check the output specs from your stator using "ac" volts scale on a multi-meter(refer to your service manual for the voltage specs)
    Hope this helps,00 wildglide.

If the voltage output is good...the regulator is probably the cause...
