Not getting gas to carb

    Is there a screen inside my tank , or possibly at the petcock , i'm confused oh yeah its a 95 sportster

    should be a filter/screen at petcock,

    also if you have a stock hd petcock it is vac operated so it will not
    leak/drain fuel, you need to put a vac line to it check the line
    and be sure it's not cracked or broken if you are not getting fuel.

    You can change to an aftermarket gravity petcock, but you need
    to remember to shut it off.

    check the vac line first, make sure it's good, that's a 15 year old rubber hose,
    they crack...

    it has cripped clamps , I can just replace them with a screw clamp ,, right??

    Right, never reuse the factory crimp clamps. They are a one-time use part. A #4 hose clamp is ideal to replace those with.

    Be sure to check the vacuum hose going from the carb to the petcock first (as previously suggested). The petcock will not open unless vacuum is applied to the valve.

    the vacuum you get from sucking on the line should be enough to get it to flow.....

    shouldnt get gas through the vac. line..............if ya do ya got a problem!!!!!!!:D
